HINGES is a student-run organization which addresses the issue of mental health among students.
As HINGES move into its second year of operation, it demands a refreshed identity to appeal to wider audience and increase its impact. Despite its need for innovation, the executive board of HINGES also demands that the new identity system should inherit elements from its current one.
The challenge that comes with creating something new upon a well-built legacy is adapting the old to the new. Various elements such as HINGES' logo need to be innovated and not thoroughly discarded.
While HINGES' previous logotype could be improved, it was the co-founder's demand that it would be kept the same. Instead, a more compact logomark was developed to expand its range of application on items such as shirts, business cards, or name tags and certificates. A new color palette was also developed, utilizing a vibrant yellow to attract viewers and make HINGES' Facebook page stand out.
